PABO: People against bank overreach
Our Beliefs
In 2024, there were 408000 bank account closures in the UK, affecting individuals, businesses and charities. Very little reason was given in most cases and the impact on the individuals and businesses have proved catastrophic in many cases.
As an advocacy and protest organisation, our experts aims are to highlight Barclays, and other banks, often racist and prejudiced actions toward the hard-working citizens of the UK. Be they Romanians, Russians, or other community groups including the charity sector, we are respected advocates who get results, as we fight incompetence and outdated stereotypes.
As the banks continue to debank and withhold and freeze legal funds, we say enough is enough.
This is financial apartheid in all but name, borne of paranoia by the banking institutions who are acting to appease the FOS and avoid further huge regulatory fines....
Our Team
PABO was founded by individuals and experts, highly educated and experienced, who are passionate about advocating for financial justice and challenging discriminatory practices in the banking sector.
The founder worked in the city of London for many years and became disillusioned regarding their ongoing practices.
We purposefully do not put personal details of our team here for good reason: As disruptors in this space, the banks aren't particular fans of what we do and we know, from experience, that their vindictiveness knows no bounds, so, as individuals we keep a low profile. Its safer that way!
